Dr. Comellas is Associate Director for Clinical Research Support in the UI Institute for Clinical and Translational Science. He has a broad background in clinical pulmonary medicine, specifically mechanisms of lung injury and repair, with an emphasis on distal lung progenitor cells and the development of strategies to improve antimicrobial activity in the airway.
