Dominique Limoli, PhD

Associate Professor
Biography

Dr. Limoli is a newly recruited Assistant Professor who received a CF Foundation (CFF) new investigator award through the UI CFF Research Development Program (RDP, Director Dr. Stoltz). Her research focuses on understanding the interspecies interactions among microbes that occur during infection and influence microbial metabolism, motility, antibiotic tolerance, and the production of virulence factors, with the long-term goal of modulating the behaviors of polymicrobial communities to improve CF patient outcomes. Her laboratory utilizes live-cell imaging, bacterial genetics, and molecular biology approaches to investigate polymicrobial interactions at the population and single-cell levels.
